They are energy-dense and designed to keep you going - particularly after exercise and when nothing but a sweet treat will work.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. Naturya cocoa powder

1 tbsp. Haskapa Berry Powder

1 cup pitted medjool dates

½ cup smooth almond butter

½ cup hemp seeds

½ cup oats (gluten free oats if appropriate)

2 tbsp. coconut oil (melted)

Ground linseeds for sprinkling/rolling (optional)
Directions
Place everything other than the coconut oil in a good blender e.g. Magimix and blend until everything is very finely chopped.
Add the melted coconut oil and blend again – this time everything should come together.
Roll into balls about the size of a tablespoon - should make about 15.
Pop in the fridge to get firm and store them there (they will last at least 4 days).
If you can’t resist, then you can store in the freezer to make them less accessible – they only take a few minutes from the freezer to be soft enough to eat.

Although these contain super healthy ingredients and plenty of protein, in some people the high date quantity may impact blood sugars, so moderation is key!
